As some of you know (and most of you don't know), I moved this past Tuesday from glorious, warm, sunny San Diego, CA to cold, grey, snowy Decatur, IL. And you know what? I'm not complaining. I'm happy to be free of the Marine Corps, and living with Samantha's aunt and her aunt's boyfriend (and their 3 dogs) is a lot of fun. I'll keep you all updated.
What do you do for fun when you're broke?

My personal favorite is simple. I go to any of the beaches in La Jolla, CA, but mostly the shores. Take a look at this to understand:
What was your reaction to the results of the Iowa caucuses?
My reaction was pretty much.... blah. Barack Obama, I'm glad he got the Dem nod, despite being a Republican. I'd rather see him win than Billary.
As for the Republican nod, all I can say is "Hucka-who?" Who is Mike Huckabee and why do I still not care about him at all. My personal favorite (and my former governor) Mitt Romney. He's doing incredibly well for himself (No 2 in Iowa). I can see him going far, and winning.
Today was part two of my job interview with Superior Internet Solutions. In my opinion, they're a great company, with a lot of potential. Fortunately for me, the interview went great, not only with the hiring manager but with the company president. I'm going to be getting a call early next week to set up my next-stage interview, which is with the CEO of the company. Wish me luck every one.
And on another note, I had another job interview earlier this morning, and got all sorts of angry when I thought the interviewer wasn't going to show up, as I hadn't seen her yet. Turns out that as I was leaving the parking lot, we realized that I had been at the wrong store... Oops. Oh well, the job wasn't super important or impressive. It did give us an excuse to drive down to La Jolla once again after the interview to kill time.
Today begins another chapter in my life. All my final Marine Corps paperwork will be finished today, and I will officially be on my way. It's been a fun life, but it's time to move into something even more fun.
Hope you all enjoy the pictures from La Jolla. We're gonna go there as often as we can.
